WHO IS MYTUTOR?

Since 2004 MYTUTOR has been supporting children and teenagers in their school concerns. The successful development of our institute can be seen in many successful students and even more happy parents.

We see it as our mission to contribute to the education of our population and to promote equal opportunities in society. To achieve our goals, we place special emphasis on a successful communication process between parents, students and teachers, as well as individual tutoring tailored to the needs of the individual. Our services range from general tutoring courses in individual or group lessons, to specific exam preparation, to tutoring at our clients' homes.

1. what subjects are offered at MYTUTOR?

MYTUTOR offers tutoring in German, French, English, Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Statistics and Economics.

Private tutoring can take place as often as you want. You can schedule your lessons on your desired days and at your desired times.

Group courses for German, French, Math and English are held on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On the website you will find the exact course days with times.

Private tutoring can be arranged flexibly according to your desired times from Monday to Saturday. You are completely free in the choice of dates. Group courses take place on Wednesday and Friday afternoons or on Saturdays. You can find the exact course schedules on our website.

If you attend private tutoring, you can start at any time. We will organize your course as soon as possible. Our group courses start in August and take place throughout the school year (excluding school vacations). Joining existing groups is possible at any time!

Private tutoring with MYTUTOR can either take place at our premises in Basel, Solothurn and Basel or at home (Basel, Solothurn and Basel region). For private tutoring at home, a fee of CHF 20.- per lesson will be charged. The group courses always take place on the premises of our institutes.

If you are not satisfied with your teacher, we are always ready to find a solution and talk to him/her. If the chemistry is not right, we can replace the teacher and organize another one for your course.

In all listed subjects you can attend private lessons. In the subjects German, French, English and Mathematics we also offer group courses. You can find detailed information about the group courses on our website.

Groups at MYTUTOR consist of a maximum of 5 students.

How much a course costs depends on the type and duration of the course and the school level. You can find all prices for private and group lessons on our website under the heading Prices and Registration . With MYTUTOR you receive a volume discount: The longer and the more you book, the cheaper your course will be.

At MYTUTOR you always have the possibility to attend a trial lesson without obligation, no matter if it is a private or group lesson. To make an appointment, please contact our office or visit the trial lesson page on our website.

You can pay the amount for your booked course conveniently by invoice or bank transfer within the specified period.

If a lesson (group or private) is cancelled for organizational reasons on our part, then this lesson will be made up.

There are no group courses during the school vacations of the city of Basel. Private lessons can also take place during the vacations by individual arrangement.

Our tutors all have at least a Bachelor's degree. If you would like a teacher with a specific qualification, please contact us.

Group courses at MYTUTOR are designed to review and prepare current school material at the appropriate level. In addition, students can always bring their own materials and ask questions about homework or class material.

In private lessons, the content can be adapted completely flexibly to your wishes. The teacher will deepen the desired material with you and prepare suitable practice materials for you.

Homework help takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.15 pm to 6.45 pm. Homework help is free of charge for registered students (from 4 lessons per week). If you would like to register for homework help only Register , please contact us at any time.

Registration for group courses are usually for one or two semesters. However, if you join later, you can of course also register for a shorter duration Register.

Private lessons can generally be attended for as long as needed.

If you find that you do not need to use all of your lessons at once, they will not expire. You can either use the lessons at a later time or we will issue you a credit for the remaining lessons.

There is no registration fee with MYTUTOR. You only pay for your course.

In the group courses you benefit from a two-week trial period. Within this time you can cancel the course if you are not satisfied. You will then only pay for the hours you have attended.

In private lessons you can enjoy a free trial lesson without any obligation.
